Adult Safe Environment Awareness Sessions

Safe Environment Certification for Employees and Adult Volunteers is required prior to serving in Ministry and must be renewed every two years.

Initial or Renewal Safe Environment Certification currently requires attendance at a live and in person (“face-to-face”) Safe Environment Awareness Session (”Protecting God’s Children For Adults”) and requires a virtus profile.

No children / youth under the age of 18 are permitted to be in attendance at Protecting God’s Children for Adults® awareness sessions.

Procedure, Profile Creation & Logging In 

Creating a VIRTUS profile allows you to view, and to sign up for, in person Safe Environment Awareness Sessions. Please choose from the options below.

  • I Need a VIRTUS Profile — Choose this button to create a Virtus profile and to select one of the Protecting God’s Children For Adults sessions.
  • I have a VIRTUS Profile — Choose this button if you already have a Virtus profile. Simply login to your VIRTUS profile and select a Protecting God’s Children For Adults sessions.

If you are interested in being a Safe Environment Facilitator for the Diocese of Fort Worth, please contact the Director of Safe Environment.

Teen Training

Teen Leader Training will continue to be scheduled by each school or parish. Please contact your local Director of Religious Education, Youth Minister or Safe Environment Champion for the schedule of classes.
