Welcome to the Diocesan Human Trafficking Initiative Town Hall Meeting

Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative

This event is specifically designed for adults—parents, educators, and caregivers—who are committed to addressing the alarming issue of human trafficking and its prevalence in Texas, particularly in the metroplex and our local communities. Understanding how this issue impacts our area and the unique vulnerabilities our children and teens face is essential.

Our goal for this meeting is to inform, educate, and equip you with the tools necessary to combat human trafficking. Participants will learn from local and state experts how to recognize potential concerns, understand the factors that can put young people at risk, and gain insights on how to respond effectively to suspicious situations. Importantly, you will also learn how to report concerns or information about human trafficking to the proper authorities.

The meeting will also provide information about the planned upcoming training sessions Unbound Now will provide to our high school students starting in January. We encourage you to come with questions! There will be plenty of time for discussion, allowing you to voice your concerns and ask the experts.

Additionally, there will be informational tables featuring 5 Stones Tarrant County Task Force, Unbound Now, and other community organizations, offering resources and materials to assist you in protecting our children and youth.

Your participation is vital in our collective effort to ensure the safety of our children and teens. Together, we can make a difference. We look forward to seeing you there!
