Marriage Enrichment / Help
Even the best marriages need a tune up. The Diocese of Fort Worth is committed to helping good marriages become great marriages. There are many retreats offered throughout the year to help couples grow closer to Jesus Christ, and each other.
Below is a list of available programs for couples.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter
A Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend (WWME) could be THE weekend for the two of you to reconnect and revitalize your marriage. It is an experience guided by couples and a priest who help you to rediscover your dreams, rekindle your romance and become more aware of God’s desire for your marriage. Away from the distractions of everyday life, each couple has the time to focus on each other, and learn new ways of communicating more effectively in a private, positive atmosphere. For more information, registration, dates and locations, please visit the Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend website.
National Marriage Encounter
National Marriage Encounter of North Texas is an opportunity for married couples to focus on the most important area of their lives - their marriage. When we're dating and starting our lives together, our couple relationship gets top priority. Then life takes over. Our marriages often get put on the back burner. For more information, registration, dates and locations, please visit the National Marriage Encounter of North Texas website.
Retrouvaille is designed to help heal troubled marriages. The word "Retrouvaille" simply means "rediscover". This program offers the chance to rediscover yourself, your spouse and a loving marriage.
It is designed to help married couples who are anxious about their marriage relationship; alone or distanced from their partner; disillusioned or bored in their marriage; experiencing coldness or conflict; frustrated, hurt, or angry with their partner; and unable to see how to change their situation. Retrouvaille, which emphasizes a unique technique of communication between a husband and wife, combines a live-in weekend with post-weekend follow-up sessions. All names and conversations will be kept confidential. For more information, registration, dates and locations, please visit the Retrouvaille website.
The Diocese of Fort Worth is dedicated to a Safe Environment. We offer extensive and mandatory training for all employees and volunteers. Please contact the Safe Environment office if you need assistance or to report an abuse or concern.
