Breakdown of Formation Options

General Track

  • 3 Levels (Foundational, Intermediate, Advanced)
  • 5 Courses per level
  • 4 Weeks per course

Ministerial Track

  • 3 Levels (Foundational, Intermediate, Advanced)
  • 5 Courses per level with at least 1 Ministerial Track course per level
  • 3 Core foundational courses:
    (Introduction to Apologetics, Evangelization and Catechesis, Vatican II)
  • 4 Weeks per course

General Track

This track would include the following levels and classes:

Level One Courses:  Foundational
  • Evangelization and Catechesis
  • Introduction to Apologetics
  • Vatican II
  • Biblical Foundations
  • Introduction to Doctrine I
Level Two Courses:  Intermediate
  • Introduction to Doctrine II
  • Introduction to the Gospels
  • Introduction to Christian Spirituality
  • The Seven Sacraments
  • Holy Matrimony and the Role of the Family
Level Three Courses:  Advanced
  • Church History
  • Introduction to Mary
  • Lives of the Saints
  • The Liturgy
  • Our Moral Life in Christ

Ministerial Track Concentrations

Introduction
The premise of the ministerial tracks is to offer additional specific course content related to the curriculum offerings already in place through our three-year program. Thus, if someone were interested in the RCIA track they would participate in the regular program by taking specific courses throughout the three-levels of courses offered related to the ministry track chosen.

Purpose and Mission
The purpose and mission of these tracks is to offer the lay faithful the opportunity to learn a specific catechetical discipline and strengthen their abilities and desires to assist the Church in these catechetical areas of need.

New Evangelization and Adult Faith Formation Track

This track would include the following levels and classes:

Level One Courses:  Foundational
  • Evangelization and Catechesis
  • Introduction to Apologetics
  • Vatican II
  • Biblical Foundations
  • Introduction to the New Evangelization and Adult Faith Formation
Level Two Courses:  Intermediate
  • Introduction to Doctrine I
  • Introduction to Doctrine II
  • Introduction to Christian Spirituality
  • The Seven Sacraments
  • Ministerial Track Concentration II (TBA)
Level Three Courses:  Advanced
  • Church History
  • The Liturgy
  • Our Moral Life in Christ
  • Holy Matrimony and the Role of the Family
  • Ministerial Track Concentration III (TBA)

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Track

This track would include the following levels and classes:

Level One Courses:  Foundational
  • Evangelization and Catechesis
  • Introduction to Apologetics
  • Vatican II
  • Biblical Foundations
  • Introduction to Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
Level Two Courses:  Intermediate
  • Introduction to Doctrine I
  • Introduction to Doctrine II
  • Introduction to Christian Spirituality
  • The Seven Sacraments
  • Ministerial Track Concentration II (TBA)
Level Three Courses:  Advanced
  • Church History
  • The Liturgy

Youth Ministry Track

This track would include the following levels and classes:
