The UTA Campus ministry is a community of Catholic students growing in relationship with Jesus and living out our faith at UTA. We are a ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth to the college students at UT Arlington and local Community College students. We meet at the Newman Center adjacent to the UTA Campus. We are just down the street from St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, their priests provide Mass on Sundays and Wednesdays, and we work in partnership with the parish throughout the year.
Our biggest area of ongoing need is feeding students!
We are blessed to have some church groups who sponsor our Sunday evening meals, but we also offer a meal after our Wednesday Mass, keep the kitchen stocked with snacks all year long and always have food at events. We also participate in #iGiveCatholic each November, but gift card donations to places like Sam’s Club, Chick-fil-A, Canes, Jimmy Johns, or any pizza chain are a huge help. Feel free to mail them to University Catholic Community, Attn: Jeff Hedglen, 1010 Benge Dr, Arlington TX 76013.
