Permanent Display of a Relic of Saint Pio

St. Pio Honorary Mass and blessing of the installation of the chapel on September 18, 2024

The Saint Pio Foundation has offered the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth a first-class relic of Saint Pio for the creation of a Chapel of Saint Pio. Two other dioceses (Diocese of Salina and Diocese of Pittsburgh) are already designated Chapels, and two others will be enlisted with the intention of forming a cross over the United States. The first-class relic, a piece of blood-stained gauze used to clean a side wound of Saint Pio, will be displayed at St. Peter the Apostle in Fort Worth permanently.

Most Reverend Michael F. Olson, STD, MA, will be the main celebrant for the evening Mass where he will bless the installation of the Chapel of Saint Pio. The events will be preceded by a full day veneration of the authentic relics of Saint Pio. We invite everyone to join us to celebrate Mass and blessing of the installation of the chapel on September 18, 2024, at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Fort Worth, located at 1201 South Cherry Lane in west Fort Worth at 6 P.M.  Afterwards, there will be the premiere of the docudrama Saint Pio of Pietrelcina: Man of Hope and Healing in the school gym. For those who cannot join us, watch the Mass and docudrama on live stream at https://fwdioc.org/. Veneration of the Relics will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on the same day.

An ongoing relic veneration schedule will be set up at St. Peter the Apostle parish after the September 18 Mass for those unable to attend or wishing to visit again. Please visit the parish website for more details.
