Pontifical Mission

World Mission Sunday 2024

Day of Reflection, Saturday, August 17, 2024

Pope Francis, in his message for World Mission Sunday 2024, encourages the faithful to 'Go and invite everyone to the banquet.' Acknowledging our role as missionary disciples already partaking in Christ's banquet, the Holy Father calls upon us to extend this invitation to those who may not yet be aware of it. Read full message

The Day of Reflection on August 17, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arlington, led by Priest-Theologian Father Ron Rolheiser, on the theme 'Go and invite everyone to the banquet,' presents a valuable opportunity for prayer and missionary reflection. This, in turn, will certainly strengthen our faith and impel us in our baptismal call to be missionaries.
