Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, 1007 E. Terrell in Fort Worth, designated by Bishop Michael F. Olson as the principal church for the celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy for the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, has established hours that it will be open for pilgrims to journey to the church through the Year of Mercy.
During the jubilee year, pilgrims coming to and entering the church through the doors of Our Mother of Mercy Church will receive a plenary indulgence by meeting the usual conditions of Confession and reception of the Eucharist within a week before or after the pilgrimage, and while at the church making a Profession of Faith and praying for the intentions of the Holy Father for the Church and the World. The latter could be done by praying the prayer for the Jubilee of Mercy by Pope Francis.
Beginning immediately and continuing through the end of the Year of Mercy on November 20, 2016, the Doors of Mercy at Our Mother of Mercy Parish will be open as follows:
|Monday through Thursday:||10 a.m. to 2 p.m.|
|Friday:||8 a.m. to 2 p.m.|
|Saturday:||4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.|
|Sunday:||8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.|
For groups of 10 or more who cannot visit during the regular hours that Our Mother of Mercy Church is open, please email or call 817-335-1695 with a proposed date and time for a visit. Our Mother of Mercy will coordinate with the group to open the church.
