A seminarian is a person who is attending a seminary with the Priesthood in mind. He is studying to grow in four areas; human, spiritual, pastoral, and intellectual. At the seminary he will grow in relationship to our Lord by praying, going to daily Mass and confession. He learns about theology and philosophy so he may teach others. He also gains knowledge about himself and how he relates to others, through his relationship with other seminarians, priests and ministries.
God our Father, Thank you for calling [Seminarian's name] to prepare for the priesthood. Grant him the grace to grow closer to You through daily prayer. Help him form his personality as a credible witness to others. Bless him while he studies Your word and the teachings of the Church, and give him a generous heart to serve Your people. We ask this through Your Son, Jesus Christ, our great High Priest. Amen.
Young people, have you ever thought of committing your existence totally to Christ? Do you think there can be anything greater than to bring Jesus to people and people to Jesus?Pope Saint John Paul II
