Due to the volume of inquiries we are receiving as well as the depth and specificity in which we are beginning to delve within the RCIA Formation Day, the Diocese of Fort Worth is hosting a “RCIA Orientation” on Wednesday, January 17 at the Catholic Center. We will have two sessions from which one can choose, 9 AM - 2:30 PM or 6 PM - 9 PM.

The RCIA Formation Day will be on Saturday, January 27 at St. Patrick Cathedral. All talks and workshops will be strictly concentrating upon the theme of the year: The Period of Evangelization.
The keynote speakers for RCIA Orientation will be Marlon De La Torre, Director of Evangelization and Catechesis and Jason Whitehead, Director of Faith Formation, Diocese of Fort Worth. The topics include:
- The Nature and Origin of the Catechumenate
- The Catechumenal Model and its different phases
- Why the Catechumenal Model is the premier model for all catechesis
- How the distinct periods of RCIA differ one from another
- The three-fold aspect of RCIA
- The major and minor rites
- Canonical/Marital issues
