Special Emergency Collection for Disaster Relief in Haiti
August 28-29, 2021
USCCB Bishops Emergency Disaster Fund
In response to the recent devastation in Haiti, Most Reverend Michael F. Olson has announced an emergency special collection in the Diocese of Fort Worth on August 28-29. Funds collected will be directed to the USCCB Bishops Emergency Disaster Fund. This fund addresses humanitarian, long-term recovery and significant Church needs arising from calamities like the current situation in Haiti.
Currently, the USCCB partners at Catholic Relief Services (CRS) are on the ground providing humanitarian relief and will be with the community over its extended recovery. This collection will assist the three most impacted dioceses to begin to help them as they look to rebuild the many parishes, rectories, schools and other Church properties reduced to rubble. But much more support will be needed. Please generously support this collection when it is taken in your parish, or
