Bishop Olson's Pastoral Letter
Pastoral Letter to All Priests, Deacons, Seminarians, Religious Men and Women, and Faithful Laity
The current events in our nation are cause for concern as we provide pastoral leadership and charitable care for the People of God and all men and women of good will. Much of the tenor and substance of the political discourse in our nation lacks the respect and civility that our republic has consistently relied upon throughout our history.... 2021 Annual Diocesan Appeal
The Reason for Our Hope
Thanks to your efforts the 2021 Annual Diocesan Appeal is off to a great start. Click here for some updates and new resources.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter
We have heard from our area leadership that because of the availability of doing “virtual” weekends, a couple will be able to “attend” a weekend during any weekend for the duration of Covid-19 restrictions. We can host even couples who live outside the U.S. There is a silver lining to this pandemic. This media also allows WWME to reach those couples, priests, and religious who have difficulty leaving their homes to attend weekend usually held in hotels or retreat centers.
The bulletin announcements will refer those interested to a broader website to cover the wider availabilities. May God bless you for your help in reaching out to married couples, priests, and religious about Worldwide Marriage Encounter. We appreciate you printing the announcements as often as possible to encourage couples to invest in their relationships.
Attached is a WORD document with bulletin announcements in English as well as in Spanish. Additionally, there are .jpeg images, one for each Sunday in the month that can be placed into the weekly parish bulletins. Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
