Bishop Olson Asks for Support
Annual Diocesan Appeal Commitment Weekend: September 15-16
“As we approach the 50th anniversary of the Diocese of Fort Worth, I ask every family to support the Annual Diocesan Appeal. The Eucharist Makes Us the Church and reminds us that through the power of Christ’s love we are called to respond to the needs of others. Let us share in gratitude for the gifts we have and joys of life we experience through the eyes of faith.” – Most Rev. Michael F. Olson, STD, Bishop of Fort Worth.
These words closed the letter from the Bishop that was read during all Masses in the Diocese of Fort Worth last weekend (see full text of letter below). This weekend, all families in the Diocese are asked to make commitments to this year’s Annual Diocesan Appeal. Please pray about the ways you are being called to support our seminarians, our men in formation for the permanent diaconate, those in our prisons and jails, our rural and needy parishes and schools, our retired and infirm priests, our marriage and family life ministries, our outreach on college campuses, the families with children in our Catholic schools and Catholic Charities in its mission to eradicate poverty. Thank you for your prayers and support.
