Annual Diocesan Appeal Kickoff
Register for Webinars: August 9
In order to meet September bulletin deadlines, we will host two Kick-Off webinars for the 2022- 23 Annual Diocesan Appeal in early August. We will share the location for digital resources for bulletins, discuss best practices used by parishes who met goal, and share the survey responses. To register for Tuesday, August 9 at 9 a.m. click here. By attending live you can ask questions during the webinar. We will also record the webinar if you cannot attend. The Diocesan Appeal is a large undertaking at the parish level. We know you either have a team of staff and volunteers who help or you handle all of the responsibilities. Anyone who plays a role with the Appeal in your parish is encouraged to attend to better understand the full picture of what it takes to succeed in funding our Diocese and grant programs. Msgr. McGread Stewardship Conference
August 10-11, 2022
This conference is for clergy and lay leaders and will provide a setting for you to discover how to teach your parishioners to become better Christian Stewards. Held on August 10-11, 2022 at the Spiritual Life Center, 7100 E. 45th St. N., Wichita, KS.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter
August 2022
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.

Advancing the Mission Newsletter
July/August 2022
Thank you for Advancing the Mission of the Diocese of Fort Worth last fiscal year. Last month concluded the FY22 Annual Diocesan Appeal which provided $815,000 in grants to 37 parishes along with other important funding. The edition of Advancing the Mission newsletter includes the list of all Light of Christ Awardees, summer stewardship ideas, and more. Read the latest edition here.

Deaf Ministry Program
September 3, 2022
Starting September 3, 2022 the Deaf Ministry Program will offer an 11-week course of American Sign Language at St. Peter Catholic School in Fort Worth on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Students will learn basic vocabulary, rules of grammar and cultural aspects of the deaf community and the history of American Sign Language. Please register by August 26, 2022 to be part of this class.
Young Adult Mass
September 8, 2022
Bishop Michael Olson invites the young adults (18-35) of the Diocese of Fort Worth to a special Mass celebrating the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 8, 2022 to take place at St. Patrick Cathedral at 6:30 PM. Following the Mass young adults are welcome to join us in the St. Patrick Pastoral Center for a free meal and spiritual reflection on Magnanimity & the Interior Life. Please RSVP for meal to .

Retiro Jornada Familiar
Retiro matrimonial, 10 y 11 de septiembre de 2022
Jornada Familiar es un retiro para parejas que desean vivir su unión en gran unidad. La Jornada Familiar tiene la misión primaria de formar matrimonios y familias que valoren el amor cristiano y vivir el evangelio constituyendo nuestros hogares en iglesias domésticas.
El próximo retiro será el dia sábado y domingo 10 y 11 de septiembre de 2022. Debido a la Pandemia COVID-19 y precauciones de salud, el retiro de Jornada Familiar se ha modificado y usted dormirá en su casa, no en el Centro de Formación. El horario de los dos días es de 9am a 5pm. Favor de llegar a tiempo ya que empezaremos puntualmente.

Red Mass
Save the date, Thursday, September 29, 2022
The Red Mass Committee of Fort Worth, Texas cordially invites all attorneys, judges, public officials, and their families and staffs to attend the Red Mass on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral in downtown Fort Worth. A reception and guest lecture will immediately follow Mass at the Fort Worth Club. There is no cost to attend the Mass or the reception, but we gratefully accept donations to underwrite the event.
