Catholic Diocese Liturgical Adaptations

Fort Worth Catholic Diocese Bishop Michael Olson has asked to please view full statement, guidelines, and protocols below for public Mass as of July 3, 2020.

Sunday Mass Live Streamed

Due to the Coronavirus forcing so many to stay home, the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth will live stream the Sunday, 11 a.m. Mass from St. Patrick Cathedral for the foreseeable future. It will be interpreted for the deaf community. Go to the front page of the diocesan website at: www.fwdioc.org. You could also find other parishes live stream schedules as well.

Note: Bishop Olson is asking each parish to include the following Spiritual Communion Prayer in your bulletin for the faithful to pray during these trying times when they cannot attend Mass.

In response to the recent explosion in Beirut, Lebanon, Most Reverend Michael F. Olson has announced an emergency special collection in the Diocese of Fort Worth on August 22-23, 2020. Funds collected will be directed to support the work of Caritas Lebanon.

News About St. Francis de Sales

Diocesan Catechist Certification Program

Registration for two new formation sites is currently open (one in English one in Spanish). The classes will be starting via Zoom and once allowed we will move to in person classes. The classes are held once a month with a two hour duration. For more information about St. Francis de Sales and to register, please visit https://fwdioc.org/st-francis-de-sales. Classes in English will be on the second Saturday of every month from 9:00m to 11:am starting on Sept 12, 2020. Please visit our website often as we continue to add times and locations.

2021 Annual Diocesan Appeal

Due to the current policy prohibiting the distribution of collection baskets and paper items, the promotional plan for the 2021 Annual Diocesan Appeal is revised and outlined in the document below. Please read it carefully.

  • September 13 (Announcement Weekend) – read letter from Bishop Olson at all weekend Masses.
  • Week of September 14-19 – Commitment form mailed to all registered households.
  • September 20 (Commitment Weekend) – homilies at all Masses include remarks about the Annual Diocesan Appeal, directing parishioners to respond to the commitment form they receive in the mail.

For mature audiences only! U.S. law defines human trafficking as the use of force, fraud or coercion to compel a person into commercial sex acts or labor or services against his or her will. With minors, commercial sex is human trafficking regardless of the presence of force, fraud or coercion. Human trafficking is a huge problem in the United States. Learn why the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is one of the most highly trafficked areas for this crime. Learn to recognize the signs of recruitment and how the traffickers control their victims, and what each of us can do to stop human trafficking. Registration in VIRTUS is required for attendance. International Catholic Stewardship Council (ICSC) Conference Parish Scholarships Available
