New Child Safety Program
Empowering God’s Children®
The Office of Safe Environment in the Diocese of Fort Worth has a new children/youth safe environment awareness program that goes into effect this Fall. Empowering God’s Children® is a program to effectively communicate safety guidelines and principles to all children in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. The sessions are taught in the Catholic schools, in parish religious education classes, and in youth ministry sessions. The program assists parents, teachers, catechists, and youth ministers in giving children and young people the increased awareness, empowerment and knowledge they need to protect themselves from those who might harm them. Empowering God’s Children® is a prerequisite to applying for "Teen Leader Training." Questions may be directed to your Catholic school, parish catechetical leaders and parish Safe Environment Coordinator or to the Office of Safe Environment at 817-945-9342 or email .
