Nolan Catholic High School
Names New Principal
The Schools Office at the Catholic Center announces the selection of Mr. Oscar Ortiz for Principal of Nolan Catholic High School
Oscar has many years of experience with Great Hearts Classical Academies, Founders Classical Academies, and Heritage Classical Schools. Mr. Ortiz served as an Assistant Headmaster for Great Hearts at their Monte Vista-San Antonio and Irving campuses, as a Headmaster for Founders at their Dallas-Mesquite and Schertz campuses, and as the Founding Headmaster and Superintendent of Schools for Heritage Classical in Houston, Texas. His responsibilities included all business operations, such as real estate acquisition, marketing, enrollment, budgeting, charter approval, etc., and all academic operations of curriculum selection, administrative and teacher hiring, training, evaluation, coaching, school culture creation, student discipline, and parent communication.
In his new role as Principal of Nolan Catholic High School, Mr. Ortiz will lead academics, instruction, athletics, and school culture as well as serve the scholars and parents.
Mr. Ortiz graduated from the University of Dallas with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and from Saint John’s College of Annapolis with a master’s degree in liberal arts. He attends the University of Saint Thomas for a doctorate in education.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter
July 2022
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.

Msgr. McGread Stewardship Conference

Bishop Michael Olson invites the young adults (18-35) of the Diocese of Fort Worth to a special Mass celebrating the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 8, 2022 to take place at St Patrick Cathedral at 6:30 PM.
