Light of Christ Parish Stewardship Awards
Congratulations to our 2023 honorees!
On Saturday, June 24, 47 individuals or couples were honored at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth for their stewardship and leadership in their parishes. The Light of Christ award is presented annually to lay individuals throughout the Diocese of Fort Worth who exemplify the light of Christ through lives of Christian Stewardship. Chosen by their Pastors, these honorees live out their baptismal call in an extraordinary way. Thank you for your dedication to your parish community and the example you set for others in leading a stewardship way of life. Gabriel Project
Catholic Charities is asking for parish support in sharing information about the Gabriel Project. There is a need for volunteers, particularly bilingual volunteers, to mentor expectant mothers. Bulletin announcements are available for parish use in English and Spanish (attached) and are designed for both client and volunteer audiences. Please note that is a special version for the Northwest deanery use. If you would like physical copies of flyers delivered to your parish, please contact with your request.
#iGiveCatholic Giving Day Kick-off 2023
Registration Kick-off: August 2-Fort Worth and August 9-Wichita Falls
Join us August 2 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Grapevine and August 9 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Wichita Falls for information and inspiration about this year’s #iGiveCatholic Giving Day!
Parishes, Schools, and Apostolates of the Fort Worth Diocese are invited to participate in this year’s #iGiveCatholic Giving Day on November 28, 2023. Last year, 49 Parishes, Schools and Apostolates participated, receiving a total of $834,393 for their most needed project. Register here for the kickoff. Diocesan Deaf Ministry Program
Basic Sign Language Course registration open now!
Diocesan Deaf Ministry Program is offering a basic 12-week course that will give students’ and interactive experience in sign language including small group and hands on activities. Students will learn basic vocabulary, rules of grammar and cultural aspects of the Deaf community and the history of American Sign Language. Classes will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School from 7pm to 9pm. Online registration is now available. Worldwide Marriage Encounter
August 2023
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.

Donate Your Car – Working or Nonworking – To Benefit the Church
The Advancement Foundation is now accepting donations of working or nonworking cars (RVs, motorcycles, golf carts, heavy equipment, trailer, van, boat, etc.) to benefit your parish, Catholic school, a ministry, the Annual Diocesan Appeal or any other purpose in the Diocese of Fort Worth. All vehicle pickup, sale and tax receipting is handled by cars2charities and more information is available at https://bit.ly/catholiccardonate. When you set up your donation, please alert or call 817-533-3174 to let her know which parish, school or ministry you want to benefit from your donation.
Annual Diocesan Appeal
2023 ADA surpasses Goal!
Please thank parishioners for helping the Annual Diocesan Appeal surpass the $3.5 million 2022-2023 goal. Please also remind parishioners the Annual Diocesan Appeal provides funding for parishes, parishioners, students, seminarians, retired priests, Gabriel Project, Catholic Charities and ministries of the Diocese of Fort Worth. Gifts given to the Annual Diocesan Appeal are returned to nearly every parishioner through parish and school grants, parish stewardship initiatives such as capital campaign support and stewardship committees, as well as specific departments of marriage and family life, diaconate formation, seminarian education and priest care fund. Please use the English and Spanish attachment in bulletins or on your website.
