Catholic Diocese Liturgical Adaptations
To All Priests, Deacons, Seminarians, Religious Men and Women, and Faithful Laity of the Diocese of Fort Worth
Fort Worth Catholic Diocese Bishop Michael Olson has asked to please view full statement, guidelines, and protocols below for returning to public Mass.
Sunday Mass Live Streamed
Due to the Coronavirus forcing so many to stay home, the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth will live stream the Sunday, 11 a.m. Mass from St. Patrick Cathedral for the foreseeable future. It will be interpreted for the deaf community. Go to the front page of the diocesan website at: www.fwdioc.org. You could also find other parishes live stream schedules as well.
Note: Bishop Olson is asking each parish to include the following Spiritual Communion Prayer in your bulletin for the faithful to pray during these trying times when they cannot attend Mass.
Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa
Special Collection June 6-7, 2020
On June 6-7 the Diocese of Fort Worth will take up our collection for the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa. The Church in Africa is joyous and faith-filled, but it also has unique pastoral challenges due to poverty, high rates of disease, food shortages and migration. The Solidarity Fund is an opportunity for us, as a Diocese, to stand with the people of Africa. Our contributions support Catholic education, family life programs and child protection initiatives that help strengthen and build the growing African Church. Please refer to the attached document with information for parish business managers, parish bulletin editors and webmasters. The bilingual resources include a parish pulpit announcement, bulletin announcements and a social media kit for promotion of this special collection.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter
The Diocese’s program to building better marriage is coordinated by Worldwide Marriage Encounter. Some of you have been asking about the effect of the Coronavirus on the schedule for WWME weekends. We do have a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend scheduled for June 12-14 in Irving. We hope and pray that it will be safe to hold the June weekend but we will just have to go with whatever is prudent.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
