COVID Vaccination Site Opportunity for Parishes UPDATE

Attention: Pastors and Business Managers

Because it is important for the common good of all our faithful, Bishop Olson is continuing to request that all parishes consider servicing as a COVID vaccination site and to urge all the faithful to be vaccinated. Bishop Olson asked Fort Worth Catholic Charities (FWCC) to coordinate with state health officials to set up COVID vaccination sites at parishes within the Diocese, if a parish has the needed facilities.

Attached is a letter from FWCC Parish Social Ministry Director Kasey Whitley which was provided last week that details how a parish can work with FWCC to become a vaccination site. Also, attached is a COVID facts flyer in English and Spanish.

A new vaccination site promotion flyer is English and Spanish also is attached. In addition, a link to a video in Spanish is below which features Father Pedro Martinez explaining the importance of everyone being vaccinated. Please feel free to post Father Pedro’s video to your web site or to use in a manner most effective in your parish. Video: https://youtu.be/fGA4all7j3k

Please contact or call 817-289-3889 to schedule a vaccination site at your parish.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter

June 2021

Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.

Attached is a WORD document with bulletin announcements in English as well as in Spanish. Additionally, there are .jpeg images, one for each Sunday in the month that can be placed into the weekly parish bulletins. Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
