La Jornada Familiar tiene una misión primaria: que se formen en ellas matrimonios y familias que valoren el amor cristiano, matrimonios que entiendan su misión de salvar el hogar y los demás hogares, y vivir el evangelio formando de nuestros hogares iglesias domésticas. Encuentro Matrimonial Mundial

Un fin de semana del Encuentro Matrimonial Mundial (EMM) podría ser EL fin de semana para los dos de volver a reconectar y revitalizar su matrimonio. Es una experiencia guiada por parejas y un sacerdote que le ayudará a redescubrir sus sueños, reavivar su romance y ser más conscientes del deseo de Dios para su matrimonio. Lejos de las distracciones de la vida cotidiana, cada pareja tiene el tiempo de enfocarse en sí, y aprender nuevas formas de comunicación más eficaz en un ambiente privado, positivo. Vocation Discernment Program
June 23 - 25, 2023, University of Dallas
The SERRA Clubs for Fort Worth and Dallas are once again hosting the Vocations Awareness Program Discernment Weekend June 23-25th at the University of Dallas. This is our 32nd year and we find it is the best opportunity for young men and women to have a chance to sit one on one with religious to receive guidance in their discernment process. We are requesting your assistance on publicizing the announcement in all of your parish bulletins and their websites.
A weekend of discernment helps single Catholic men and women, ages 18–40, find answers about life as a Priest, Sister, Brother, or Consecrated Lay Woman. Learn more and apply at www.vapinfo.org, or contact at the Catholic Diocese of Dallas: 214-379-2860. Application Deadline June 12, 2023!
Worldwide Marriage Encounter
June 2023
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.

Peter’s Pence Special Collection
July 1-2, 2023
Last year’s Peter Pence allowed the Holy Father to purchase and donate an ambulance to Mother and Child Health to assist children displaced by the Ukrainian war. More importantly, in solidarity with the victims of war, the papal almoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, celebrated Mass in the cathedral in Lviv and delivered the ambulance. Our Catholic tradition calls us to provide for the material needs of the Church, and the Peter’s Pence Collection is one of the opportunities we have to do so. Please use the materials below to promote this collection.
Quo Vadis
High School Discernment Retreat, July 17, 2023
Quo Vadis is a FREE one-day vocation discernment retreat for young men in High School who are living in the Diocese of Fort Worth. The camp is a rare chance for High School young men to begin considering their vocation from God by speaking with priests and seminarians.
Boys who graduate 8th grade in May/June 2023 and will be freshmen in school year 2023-2024 are eligible to register. Young men who graduate high school in May/June 2023 are eligible to register. If a young man is 18 years old, he will be required to complete the Safe Environment Program of the Diocese of Fort Worth, prior to attending.

Please add the following dates to your parish calendar so that parish events do not conflict with Annual Diocesan Appeal weekends:
- September 9-10 Announcement Sunday. Lay witness talk from parishioner. Bishop letter is read from pulpit and bulletin insert of report on previous year.
- September 16-17 Commitment Sunday. Lay witness talk from parishioner, pastors homily, commitment envelopes passed out and collected.
- September 23-24 Follow Up weekend. Thank you message. Commitment envelopes passed again and collected.
