Catholic Diocese Liturgical Adaptations
To All Priests, Deacons, Seminarians, Religious Men and Women, and Faithful Laity of the Diocese of Fort Worth
Fort Worth Catholic Diocese Bishop Michael Olson has asked to please view NEW UPDATED statement, guidelines, and protocols below for the second phase on returning to public Mass.
Sunday Mass Live Streamed
Due to the Coronavirus forcing so many to stay home, the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth will live stream the Sunday, 11 a.m. Mass from St. Patrick Cathedral for the foreseeable future. It will be interpreted for the deaf community. Go to the front page of the diocesan website at: www.fwdioc.org. You could also find other parishes live stream schedules as well.
Note: Bishop Olson is asking each parish to include the following Spiritual Communion Prayer in your bulletin for the faithful to pray during these trying times when they cannot attend Mass.
Catholic Communication Campaign
May 23-24, 2020
The Catholic Communication Campaign makes a local impact! Half of all funds raised stay in the Diocese of Fort Worth to support our local communication projects such as North Texas Catholic, the Diocesan website, live streaming of Mass, public relations and social media efforts. It is through the generosity of contributors to the Catholic Communication Campaign that the Diocese can, in part, be where the faithful are, in the digital communication world.
The remaining portion of funds collected during the Catholic Communication Campaign are used for various national communication projects such as, email delivery of the daily scripture readings, creation of public television documentaries and live streaming of events like V Encuentro. The Catholic Communication Campaign also funds projects in developing countries that spread the Gospel via modern communication methods. Due to shelter in place requirements, we ask that you rely primarily on the social media toolkit in the attached document and encourage your parishioners to participate using envelopes, your online giving portal or by texting COMM to 91999.
If you have any questions about this special collection, please contact , Associate Director of the Advancement Foundation.
Worldwide Marriage Encounter
The Diocese’s program to building better marriage is coordinated by Worldwide Marriage Encounter. Some of you have been asking about the effect of the Coronavirus on the schedule for WWME weekends. Nationally, all WWME weekends have been cancelled thru the month of May. We do have a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend scheduled for June 12-14 in Irving. We hope and pray that it will be safe to hold the June weekend but we will just have to go with whatever is prudent.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.

The Solidarity Fund is an opportunity for us, as a Diocese, to stand with the people of Africa. Our contributions support Catholic education, family life programs and child protection initiatives that help strengthen and build the growing African Church. Please refer to the attached document with information for parish business managers, parish bulletin editors and webmasters. The bilingual resources include a parish pulpit announcement, bulletin announcements and a social media kit for promotion of this special collection.
