2026 Vocation Awareness Program
A Weekend of Discernment, June 12-14, 2026 University of Dallas, Irving
Discernment is not a journey you need to make alone. Since 1990 the annual Vocation Awareness Program has provided a unique and proven opportunity for single Catholic men and women, 18-40, to join others in seeking answers to questions they have about life as a Priest, Sister, Brother, or Consecrated Lay Woman. The weekend includes presentations, panel discussions, Q&A periods, and one-on-one dialogue with Priests, Sisters, and Brothers. Rooms are provided for no fee, and no one will pressure you or seek a commitment.
Learn more or to apply contact the Diocese , 817-945-9321. Application Deadline is May 26, 2026.

Lights, Catholic, Action!
Lights, Catholic, Action! S2 Ep. 38: Can College Strengthen Your Faith?
In this episode, University of Dallas president Dr. Jonathan Sanford shares how one Catholic university in North Texas is forming students to become leaders, thinkers, and faithful witnesses in a culture hungry for truth and purpose. From the power of a true liberal arts education to the challenge of AI and modern culture, he explains why forming the whole person—not just training for a job—may be more important now than ever before.
Watch on YouTube or listen on your favorite podcast platform! Each episode, released every Tuesday, explores the identity and mission of the Catholic Church in North Texas with a new guest each week. Also, please share on your social media platforms or parish e-bulletins!

May, the Month of Mary
Mary’s Quiet Yes, Our Generous Yes
Mary said yes with humility and trust. This May, we honor her example by saying yes to the Church’s mission through generosity, service, and prayer. Small acts of faith can grow into abundant blessings. As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we give thanks for all mothers who reflect our Blessed Mother’s sacrificial love and steadfast faith. To honor their service or that of any loved one, see www.advancementfoundation.org/ways-to-give to make a memorial gift today.

Stewardship at Your Parish
To Ministry Fair or Not??
Does your parish joyfully host a ministry fair every year? Or does the mere idea of it make you want to hide? Hopefully very few of our parishes feel the latter, but all joking aside your input would be very valuable in putting together some simple best practices for parishes who would like to refresh their existing fair or are hosting one for the first time (or maybe finally relenting and hosting one after much resistance).
Please take a few minutes to complete a Ministry Fair Survey here:
Ministry Fair Survey – Fill out form
If your parish currently does not host a ministry fair, please indicate why at the bottom of the survey.
As always, please reach out with any questions/comments: at 817-886-6607 (office) 626-643-9803 (cell).
