Liturgical Workshop for Coordinators
The Diocesan Liturgy & Worship office will be offering Liturgical Workshops for Liturgy & Special Celebrations at seven locations throughout the Diocese of Fort Worth. Parish coordinators should fill out the form below to attend. First workshop starts May 6, 2022!

Good Shepherd Sunday
May 7-8, 2022 Special Collection
Funds raised during the Good Shepherd Sunday Seminarian Special Collection remain in the Diocese of Fort Worth and are used for our seminarians. Additionally, a portion of the collection in parishes pastored by religious order priests is sent to support formation programs of their religious orders. Posters and bulletin inserts will be mailed to each parish. Please use the resources below to promote this collection in your parish. CRS Rice Bowl Lenten Program
25% stays within Diocese of Fort Worth
This Lent, commit to our global human family through daily prayer, weekly fasting and almsgiving. Not a collection, but a Lenten program run in schools and parishes. CRS Rice Bowl provides funding for Catholic Relief Services’ good security projects which support agriculture, nutrition, education and self-sufficiency in communities around the world. CRS allows for 25% of the total collected to remain within the home diocese for local antipoverty programs. Much of which goes to Catholic Charities of Fort Worth. Please provide the CRS Rice Bowl to your parishioners. Rice Bowl collections are due to the Diocese by May 9, 2022.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
Vocation Awareness Weekend
June 10-12, 2022
The SERRA Clubs of Dallas and Fort Worth hosting the Vocation Awareness weekend for the 32nd time at the University of Dallas the weekend of June 10-12, 2022. This is a free discernment weekend for Catholic Men & Women. We are accepting applications now through May 23rd. Could you please help us get this information out to all the parishes?
We ask each parish to run ads all weekends during our campaign window. Ads are available in full page (preferred), half page and quarter page. You can download the print ready files at www.vapinfo.org/resources/.

In recent weeks generosity from throughout the Diocese has helped us draw closer to our goal for the Annual Diocesan Appeal Campaign and supported the communities affected from the Eastland Complex Wildfire. And there is more exciting news still ahead:
- We’re building a new convent for the Dominican Sisters of Mary Immaculate
- We’ve been challenged by Mabee Foundation to raise $200,000 by next January toward a new Youth Center in Eastland
- Our endowment is growing and we can help you leave a legacy by establishing a fund to benefit a parish, school or Catholic ministry
- Good Shepherd Sunday presents an opportunity to support our seminarians on May 8

The Good Shepherd Sunday special collection for seminarians is May 7-8, 2022. The previous calendar had April 30 – May 1 as the date. Promotional posters will be mailed to parishes to display with the correct date. We apologize for this error. The calendars below reflect the correct date.
