The 61st Annual ICSC Conference takes place October 1-4 2023 in Orlando, Florida. This year’s conference theme is “Eucharistic Stewardship: Responding with Grateful Hearts. Pastors, business managers, stewardship and development committees and school development officers are invited to attend this gathering of Catholic stewardship leaders and fund development professionals from across the United States. Participants will gather to pray, learn, network, cultivate new friendships and reflect on the life of stewardship in the Catholic Church. The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day financial, human resources, and operations management of St. Francis Village (SFV), a retirement community founded by the Franciscan Fathers in 1965. SFV includes approximately 250 acres and 400 rental units, and is home to both Catholic and Protestant Chapels. The Executive Director works with the SFV Board of Directors, and leads a staff that includes Security Chief, Resident Services Manager, Wellness Coordinator, Business/Accounting Manager, Activities Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Janitorial Supervisor, Landscape Supervisor, and Facilities Manager. SFV is largely self-sustaining, with the Executive Director leading the management of the infrastructure and services found in many small cities (e.g., utilities, cable television, and streets). Worldwide Marriage Encounter
May 2023
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.

Vocation Discernment Program

The SERRA Clubs for Fort Worth and Dallas are once again hosting the Vocations Awareness Program Discernment Weekend June 23-25th at the University of Dallas. This is our 32nd year and we find it is the best opportunity for young men and women to have a chance to sit one on one with religious to receive guidance in their discernment process. We are requesting your assistance on publicizing the announcement in all of your parish bulletins and their websites.
