Good Shepherd Sunday Seminarian Collection
April 24-25, 2021
On the Fourth Sunday of Easter, Good Shepherd Sunday, in the Gospel of John, Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep.” The Diocese of Fort Worth is blessed to have 29 seminarians in various stages of the thorough discernment and formation journey. In imitation of Jesus Christ, they will lay down their lives for their sheep. For these men, the Diocese of Fort Worth is committed to paying for all of the costs associated with their formation and education. In this way, they can commit to prayer and formation during their time in seminary, a period which can span seven and nine years and cost $50,000 annually for each of the men. Please contribute to the Good Shepherd Sunday special collection for our Diocesan Seminarian Education Fund on April 24-25. Please respond generously through your parish or at https://bit.ly/DioceseSpecialCollections.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Attached is a WORD document with bulletin announcements in English as well as in Spanish. Additionally, there are .jpeg images, one for each Sunday in the month that can be placed into the weekly parish bulletins. Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
