International Catholic Stewardship
Council Conference Early Registration
The conference starts around 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 6 with the general opening session. There will be 4 breakout session offerings on both Monday and Tuesday with a luncheon session as well. There are 8 total sessions offered in 10 different tracks ranging from parish stewardship to parish business managers to school development to diocesan development (beginner and advanced) and foundation.

Good Friday Special Collection
For the Holy Land, April 19, 2019
Each year on Good Friday we have an opportunity to stand in solidarity with our Christian brothers and sisters in the Holy Land by supporting the Pontifical Good Friday Collection. This annual collection assists Catholics in the Holy Land with ministries in parishes, Catholic education and faith formation, humanitarian aid to refugees and preservation of the sacred shrines. Catholic Home Missions Appeal
April 27-28, 2019
On the second Sunday of Easter we have an opportunity to support the Catholic Home Mission Appeal. Nearly half of the U.S. is considered mission territory, including nine dioceses in the state of Texas. These mission dioceses require outside assistance to provide basic pastoral services, like Mass and the sacraments and ministry education, to Catholics. Through your support, the Catholic Home Missions Appeal helps these mission dioceses form vibrant faith communities and strengthen the Church at home. Bioethics & End of Life Conference

The Dignity of each Human Person must be defended. It is being attacked in the courts as well as at the bedside. Please join us for a conference that will dive into concerns surrounding bioethics, euthanasia and more. All are welcome to join us for this event.
The Bioethics & End of Life Conference will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Great Hall of St. Bartholomew Parish from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. followed by Holy Mass at 4:30 pm.

Parish and School Operating Grants
Application Deadline is May 1, 2019
Parish Operating Grants
Thanks to the generosity of the donors to the Annual Diocesan Appeal, the Advancement Foundation provides generous Operating Grants to parishes each year. In 2018-19, $753,727 was awarded to 28 parishes. Small, rural or needy parishes in need of additional support to meet their operating expenses are invited to apply for a grant by May 1. Applications will be reviewed by the Diocesan Pastoral Finance Committee and approved by the Board of Directors of the Advancement Foundation. All applicants will be notified by letter prior to June 30, 2019. Grants will be disbursed in twelve (12) equal payments beginning July 1.

Introduction to Doctrine

The Department of Catechesis invites all to attend Introduction to Doctrine: An Analysis of Lumen Gentium, Vatican II’s Dogmatic Constitution on the Church on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Bedford from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Registration cost is $20. Please register to this event by May 3rd.
Stewardship Formation Summit
June 14-16, 2019 in Wichita, KS
Participants will learn the relationship between discipleship, stewardship, and evangelization and understand stewardship in terms of the lay apostolate, as taught in the documents of Vatican II. The summit will outline the characteristics of a steward, a stewardship parish, and how accountability functions in the relation of the two.
