Diocese e-Bulletin Announcement
As disciples of Christ, we are called during Lent to dedicate ourselves to prayer and scripture, service (also called almsgiving), and sacrifice in the form of self-examination and fasting. In honor of Holy Week the Catholic Center will be closed from Holy Thursday, April 6 thru Easter Monday, April 10, 2023 and reopen Tuesday April 11, 2023. Therefor the e-Bulletin will not run on Thursday, April 6, 2023. The e-Bulletin will return to normal schedule Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Pontifical Good Friday Collection
Good Friday, April 7, 2023
Taken as a collection only on Good Friday, the Holy Father asks every parish to take up a collection to keep the Christian presence in the Holy Land. Last year this collection constructed a Catholic school in Cana, aided Syrian families and refugees, supported staff and employees at pilgrimage sites such as Israel, Palestine and Bethlehem. Please promote this collection with the bulletin inserts and pulpit announcements below. More information can be found at https://bit.ly/2023SpecialCollections. Parish Operating Grant Applications
Available now the deadline is April 15
Thanks to the generosity of the donors to the Annual Diocesan Appeal, the Advancement Foundation provides generous operating grants to small, rural parishes or those struggling to meet their operating expenses. Last year, 37 parish communities in the Diocese of Fort Worth were awarded operating grants totaling $815,000. Application information for FY24 Operating Grants is now available at www.advancementfoundation.org/parish-operating-grants. Mass of Reparation for Victims of Abuse
Save the date, April 22, 2023
The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth invites you to attend a Mass of Reparation for Victims of Abuse to help heal those who have been harmed by the terrible evil of abuse and for the reparation for sins of sexual abuse perpetrated against minors and the vulnerable. Principal celebrant will be Most Reverend Michael F. Olson, STD, MA along with concelebrants Very Rev. Jonathan Wallis and Msgr. E. James Hart. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 22nd, 11:00 o’clock am at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1206 Throckmorton Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter
April 2023
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
