Oberammergau 2020 Passion Play
July 9-18, 2020
Hurry, Only 22 Spaces Available!
You are cordially invited to join the Diocesan Travel Program on the Pilgrimage to Central Europe and the 2020 Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany with Reverend Monsignor Joseph Pemberton, pastor of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Arlington, and Catholics from throughout the Diocese of Fort Worth.
On this faith-based tour through Central Europe, visit some of Central Europe’s most important cathedrals and pilgrimage sites, and witness some of its most striking scenery. Plus, enjoy first-class seats to Oberammergau’s Passion Play, performed every 10 years by Oberammergau residents as a thank you for saving the town from the Black Death. With beautiful alpine scenery as the backdrop, it is nothing short of spectacular!
Information Night: Ben Cross from Globus will be doing a slide presentation on the day-by-day itinerary and will answer your questions on Wednesday, February 20 at 7 p.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (room #9) in Arlington.

Diocesan Catechist Formation
Through the St. Francis de Sales program, the catechist will become familiar with basic catechetical concepts, lesson planning, methodology and other important skills that will allow them to deliver "the word of faith” not in mutilated, falsified or diminished form but whole and entire, in all its rigor and vigor” CT 30.
Ministry with Gay/Lesbian Catholics

The Fort Worth Diocesan Ministry with Lesbian and Gay Catholics, their families and friends will hold their monthly meeting of prayer and conversation on Thursday, February 28th at 7 PM at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in the North Meeting room. Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
Annual Giving Statements for 2018
Mailed on January 30
Thank you to the generous donors who supported the work of the Diocese of Fort Worth in 2018 – through supporting the ministries of the Annual Diocesan Appeal, to the formation of our future priests through the St. John Paul II Shepherd’s Guild, to assisting families through the Catholic Schools Tuition Assistance Fund, to contributing to one of our many endowment funds, to helping parishes grow with gifts to a capital campaign, and many more. Detailed statements of your 2018 contributions for income tax reporting were delivered to the post office on January 30. If you do not receive your statement by February 15, 2019, please notify , gift processing supervisor.

Stewardship Day of Renewal

You are invited to attend the fourth annual Diocesan Stewardship Day of Renewal: “Building His Kingdom Together” on Saturday, March 30. This event is hosted by The Advancement Foundation and will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Keller.

The Department of Catechesis invites all to attend Introduction to Doctrine: An Analysis of Lumen Gentium, Vatican II’s Dogmatic Constitution on the Church on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Bedford from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Registration cost is $20. Please register to this event by May 3rd.

The employment opportunities are broken into three categories: Catholic Center, parishes and schools. Click on a category to go to the diocesan web site to view all available jobs.
The Diocesan Electronic Calendar is a listing of major events and activities at the Diocese as well as in parishes and schools. Parishes and schools may submit information that may be of interest to individuals outside of a parish or school for inclusion on the diocesan electronic calendar with a hotlink to details if appropriate.
