St. Andrew’s Breakfast
January 13, 2018
The first St. Andrew's Breakfast for this year will be on Saturday morning January 13, 2018 at St. Patrick Cathedral at 8:00 AM. The day will begin with Mass at the Cathedral followed by breakfast in the Cathedral Annex Building. We encourage young men in high school and college to attend. St. Andrew’s Dinner
South West Deanery January 17, 2018
Young men discerning priesthood who are in high school and college within the South West Deanery, are invited to the St. Andrew Discernment Dinner on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish (108 NW 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells, TX 76067). Annual Christmas Art Contest
Join us to help the Pontifical Mission Department reach those in kindergarten through eighth grade, to share their joy of the season through this year’s Christmas Art Contest. Please pass out the attachments above to the youth you think would enjoy participating. The attachment that reads MCA Art Promo are Flyers that can be hung anywhere you seem fit. IRA Charitable Rollover
Individuals age 70½ or older, can give up to $100,000 from their IRA directly to the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth Advancement Foundation without having to pay income taxes on the money. Gifts from an IRA may be credited to a parish capital campaign, a Catholic school, to the Annual Diocesan Appeal or to a particular ministry of the Diocese of Fort Worth.

Most couples across the nation who have attended Retrouvaille (pronounced retro-vi with a long i) tell us they learned about this program from their weekly Bulletin. Many are afraid to ask their pastor or friends for help with their marriages. Others are just hoping time will make things better. Vocations Weekend Retreat, March 23-25, 2018
The Spring retreat 2018 Come & See St. Joseph Seminary College will take place at St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, LA. This vocations weekend retreat is scheduled for March 23-25, 2018 for young men 16 years and older.

The Catholic Giving Guide is a tool to help parishioners plan their annual giving as they intentionally make Stewardship a Way of Life. It helps families budget and make sacrifices according to their giving goals. Please share this form with parishioners to help them understand giving of their first fruits more clearly.

All are invited to attend Adoration for Life on the 2nd Monday of each month at St. Teresa of Calcutta Perpetual Adoration Chapel, which is located at St. Peter the Apostle in White Settlement. Please join us on January 8, 2018.
Annual Respect Life Mass

Celebrated by Bishop Michael F. Olson, the Annual Respect Life Mass will begin with a rose procession to commemorate the more than 60 million babies who have died from abortion since 1973. Please join us as we pray for respect for all human life, from conception to natural death.

Throughout the year, parishes throughout the Diocese of Fort Worth take up special collections to support the work of Christ in our Diocese, in the United States and throughout the world. Please give generously when these collections are announced in your parish.
St. Francis de Sales
Diocesan Catechist Formation Program
St. Francis de Sales is the Diocesan formation program for catechists who serve in the parish religious education programs with children, teens and adults. The program offers two levels of formation:
Basic Level: consists of nine sessions covering the bases of what catechesis is, catechetical lesson planning, the use if the catechism and sacred Scripture in catechesis, etc.
The second level or doctrinal units, consists of 25 sessions focused on the study of specific Catholic Doctrines such as the Trinity, temptation and sin, etc.
St. Francisco de Sales
Programa de Formación Diocesano para Catequistas
San Francisco de Sales es el programa diocesano de formación para los catequistas que sirven en las parroquias en los programas de educación religiosa de niños, adolescentes y adultos. Este programa ofrece dos niveles de formación:
El nivel básico que consta de nueve sesiones que cubren las bases de lo que es la catequesis, la planeación de lecciones catequéticas, el uso del catecismo de la Iglesia Católica y de la Sagrada Escritura en Catequesis, etc.
El segundo nivel o Unidades doctrinales que consta de 25 sesiones que se centran en un estudio de doctrinas Católicas específicas, como la Trinidad, la Tentación y el Pecado, etc.
St. Junipero Serra Institute
St. Junipero Serra Institute had successfully started their classes. The first course offered entitled Evangelization and Catechesis has concluded and registration for the second course entitled Introduction to apologetics is on the way. The course will start on November 6th and will be held at St. Joseph catholic school in Arlington on Monday’s from 7-9pm for 4 weeks (not including holidays).
The third course will be II Vatican Council and will take place in the same location starting on January 8th, 2018.
Instituto St. Junípero Serra
El Instituto San Junipero Serra inicio con éxito sus clases. El primer curso ofrecido titulado Evangelización y catequesis ha concluido y las inscripciones para el segundo curso titulado introducción a la apologética ya se encuentran abiertas. Este curso inicia el 11 de Noviembre y se llevara a cabo en la Parroquia de San Pedro el Apóstol (Youth Center) en Fort Worth los sábados de 10am a 12pm por 4 semanas (sin contar los días festivos).
El tercer curso será concilio Vaticana segundo y se ofrecerá en la misma ubicación a partir del 6 de enero del 2018.
