The Diocese of Fort Worth episode of “The Chair” focuses on the Diocese, St. Patrick Cathedral, and the ministry of Bishop Michael Olson, the fourth bishop of the Diocese. The series takes as its starting point a chair: specifically, the bishop’s chair, known as the cathedra — from which we get the name “cathedral.” The bishop’s chair is the symbolic heart of the diocese, representing the bishop’s authority to sanctify, preach, and govern as a true successor of the Apostles. This 85-episode series celebrates the best of Catholicism in the U.S., from the physical beauty of our cathedral to the Holy beauty of the bishops.

It is the U.S. Catholic Church’s Giving day that kicks off the charitable season and brings the Catholic Community together to give thanks and give back! As the first ever giving day created to celebrate our unique Catholic heritage, #iGiveCatholic inspires faithful stewards to “Give Catholic” on #GivingTuesday. Celebrate being Catholic by giving Catholic on Giving Tuesday, November 29!

Lock-In for Life
November 19-20, 2022
Lock-In for Life is an overnight event where teens (8-12th grade) experience amazing pro-life talks, all night fun, and celebrating the gift of life with youth from all over the diocese. It will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament, 2100 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012. The Lock-In also includes music, pizza, snacks and drinks, sporting tournaments, prayer time, a live sonogram!
Registration will be done through parishes. Please contact your Youth Minister / Group Leader to register.

The Denton and Flower Mound clinics have openings for Advocates,Medicaid enrollment advocate, nurses, Nurse Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. Advocates serve our guests by facilitating educational classes and walking with moms during pregnancy and beyond. All training is provided. Worldwide Marriage Encounter
November 2022
Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
