Bishop Michael Olson’s Statement
Regarding the Presidential Election
This is still a time for prudence and patience as the results of the presidential election have not been officially authenticated. It appears that there will be recourse made in the courts so it is best for us in the meantime to pray for peace in our society and nation and that the integrity of our republic, one nation under God, might be maintained for the common good of all. We need to pray for each presidential candidate that each will maintain a commitment to just and due process in accord with right reason and the rule of law for the sake of justice and peace.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development
(CCHD) Special Collection, November 21-22, 2020
The Catholic Campaign for Human Development supports the 40 million people living in poverty across the country. It identifies and addresses the unique obstacles people face as they work to lift themselves out of poverty. In addition, 25% of the funds we collect will remain in our diocese to fund local antipoverty projects, such as Catholic Charities Fort Worth, Seymour Ministerial Alliance and Society of St. Vincent de Paul. By supporting this collection, you are giving those on the margins a hand up, not a handout. Please be generous. Additionally, please refer to the documents below for bulletin announcements, general intercessions, social media toolkits and information for parish business managers. Worldwide Marriage Encounter
We have some great news! In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, WWME is offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.
May God bless you for your help in reaching out to married couples, priests, and religious about Worldwide Marriage Encounter. We appreciate you printing the announcements as often as possible to encourage couples to invest in their relationships.
Attached is a WORD document with bulletin announcements in English as well as in Spanish. Additionally, there are .jpeg images, one for each Sunday in the month that can be placed into the weekly parish bulletins. Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.
