E-Bulletin Announcement

In celebration of Thanksgiving there will NOT be an e-Bulleting on November 25, 2021.

The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth wishes you a blessed and happy Thanksgiving. As we gather in celebration around the tables of our homes, let us take the time to ponder our blessings and give thanks to the Lord with humble hearts.

Share Your Thankfulness
  • Share your blessings by donating to your parish food bank, Catholic Charities Fort Worth, or Society of St. Vincent de Paul to help those in need.
  • Invite someone who might be alone for Thanksgiving to your family’s celebration.
  • Bake something to give to a neighbor you don't talk to often.
  • Let someone who may be hurting know that you care and are praying for them.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development

November 20-21, 2021, Special Collection Resources

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development is the national anti-poverty program of the U.S. Catholic Bishops, working to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ "... to bring glad tidings to the poor ... liberty to captives... sight to the blind, and let the oppressed go free." (Luke 4:18) CCHD works to break the cycle of poverty by helping low-income people participate in decisions that affect their lives, families and communities. CCHD offers a hand up, not a hand out. This special collection is the weekend before Thanksgiving. Please use the resources below – including the letter from Bishop Olson to be read on November 14-15 (the weekend before the actual collection) – to promote this collection in your parish. If you have any questions regarding this collection, please contact , CFRE at 817-382-4939.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter

November 2021

Worldwide Marriage Encounter has expanded to offer the experience during the week for those who cannot commit to a weekend. This is great for priests who cannot get away as easily. It’s called a 3RE and spans several weeks with sessions twice a week. Information can be found on the WWME.org website. WWME is still offering “virtual” experiences so couples can benefit from a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend without the risks of in person gatherings. One of the benefits of this approach is that those attending do not have to live close to a central location.

Attached is a WORD document with bulletin announcements in English as well as in Spanish. Additionally, there are .jpeg images, one for each Sunday in the month that can be placed into the weekly parish bulletins. Information from Worldwide Marriage Encounter coordinators is available for parishes to inform couples of upcoming Encounter events. Feel free to include this valuable information in your bulletins.

“Restore Our Joy”; ICSC Virtual Conference Information

Module III, offered December 1 – 2, is designed for pastors, parish pastoral teams, parish stewardship and evangelization leaders and those interested in learning more about Christian stewardship as a way of life.

The ICSC virtual conference offers attendees a chance to gather and reflect on stewardship in the Catholic Church and also prepare for its transformational future in our current COVID-19 environment. The theme for ICSC’s virtual conference continues to be Restore Our Joy which recalls the psalmist’s plea to the Lord to transform his heart from sorrow to joy and renew in him a spirit of steadfastness and determination (Psalm 51:14).

The virtual conference will offer a great venue for gathering of Catholic stewardship leaders and fund development professionals from across the United States, the conference provides Catholics in dioceses and parishes the tools, strategies and inspiration they need to offer courage, hope and a renewed spirit. Scholarships are available by contacting , Director of Stewardship and Parish Relations at the Advancement Foundation or call 817-533-3178.
