Catholic Schools Special Collection
Noting that, “Catholic education has to be accessible to all, and as baptized Catholics, we each have the responsibility to provide that education to all children,” Most Reverend Michael F. Olson has announced a special collection for The Catholic School Tuition Assistance Fund on January 27-28 in all parishes in the Diocese of Fort Worth. The Catholic School Tuition Assistance Fund was established in 2006 to increase available financial aid for families who demonstrate financial need. The goal is to offer affordable Catholic school education to as many families as wish to send their children to a Catholic school. Bishop Olson invites everyone in the Diocese to be exceptionally generous to this collection, which begins Catholic Schools Week, January 28-February 3.
Pastors are asked to read the attached letter from Bishop Michael Olson at all Masses the weekend prior to the collection (January 20-21). English and Spanish resources for parishes are attached.
