e-Bulletin is Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth’s electronic newsletter to communicate news and information from the Diocese, its departments and its ministries to diocesan, parish and school employees as well as select volunteers. Diocesan department directors are responsible for generating information for e-Bulletin and ensuring that the content is within diocesan rules and policies.

Updating Diocesan Directory

The Diocesan Directory is in the process of being updated. The next directory will be online only. The new directory will have the same format but in an electronic book form.

To provide the most up-to-date information, we ask each parish, school, and other organizations to review their information in the current directory. If changes are needed, please send the changes to Judy Russeau at as soon as possible.

Information will be sent out in the e-Bulletin when the new electronic form of the directory is posted.

Diocesan Red Mass: September 29

The Diocesan Red Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 29 at 6 p.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1206 Throckmorton St., Fort Worth. A reception will follow immediately at the St. Patrick Parish Center adjacent to the Cathedral. The guest speaker will be Archbishop-designate Bernard Hebda of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The St. John Paul II Institute, the diocesan lay ministry formation school, is accepting registrations for both its basic two-year program and its third-year “deepening program.” Information and application forms can be found on the diocesan website ( Contact JP2 by telephone at 817-945-9354 or by email at ).

Empezando Una Vida Nueva

A support group for those separated, divorced and widowed in Spanish who are going through the pain of a loss will meet for ten weeks and its purpose is to share skills that others have learned to excel, find new friends who walk with them toward a better future.

The program begins on Monday, August 15 in the parish hall of All Saints Church, 214 NW 20th St., Fort Worth, TX from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There is a donation of $20 for the ten weeks to cover the material expenses, the facility, and refreshments. Unfortunately there is no child care available. Empezando Una Vida Nueva

Es un grupo de apoyo para separados, divorciados y viudos en español que están pasando por el dolor de una perdida. El grupo se reúne por diez semanas y su propósito es de compartir destrezas de superación que otras personas han aprendido, con nuevos amigos que caminan con ellos hacia un futuro mejor.

El programa empieza el lunes 15 de agosto del 2016, en el salón parroquial de la Iglesia Todos los Santos, 214 NW 20th St., Fort Worth, TX de 7:00 pm a 9:00 pm. Hay un donativo de $20 por las diez semanas para cubrir el material, el lugar y los refrescos. Desafortunadamente no hay guardería de niños. Deaf Ministry Program to offer religious education classes

The Deaf Ministry Program will be offering religious education classes for deaf and hard of hearing students this Fall at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church on Wednesday evenings from 7 – 8 pm starting September 14, 2016.  To register your child for Faith Formation, or for further information, please contact Connie Martin, Deaf Ministry Coordinator, at or call 817/945-9381.



Father Philip Bochanski, Associate Director of Courage will speak Thursday, August 11.

Courage, an Apostolate of the Diocese of Fort Worth will be sponsoring a dinner and talk  titled, “Welcoming and Accompanying Our Brothers and Sisters Who Experience Same Sex Attraction: Living Out Our Universal Call to Chasity and Speaking Truth in Love”.  The event will feature Associate Director of Courage, Fr. Philip Bochanski on Thursday August, 11 starting at 6:30 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 South Jupiter Rd. Richardson, TX.  Reservations are needed for the dinner.  Please rsvp to so that we may prepare the proper number of seats and dinners.   $7 for dinner — you may pay at the door.



Nun Run for High School Girls, August 12-14, 2016

This event is FREE and open to all high school girls (9th-12th grade for the 2016-2017 school year) who want to learn about the religious life, discerning their vocation to religious life, or simply want to be open to God’s will in their life. The girls will have the chance to interact with the following groups: Carmelite Nuns, Dominican Sisters, Sisters of Mary of Namur, Kingdom of God Sisters, & the Hermanas Catequistas Guadalupans. Marian Dinner & Mass

All women (15 and older) discerning their vocation to the Religious Life are invited to join Bishop Olson for the Marian Dinner & Mass on Monday, August 15 from 6-8:30 p.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Church, in Lewisville.

The Marian Dinner & Mass is hosted by the Vocation’s Office for women discerning their vocation to Religious Life. The evening will begin with Mass celebrated by Bishop Olson at 6 p.m. in the Church, followed by dinner and discussion among the women discerning their vocation and Sisters from different Religious Orders.
