Youth Ministry Awards

The Diocese of Fort Worth encourages all parishes to consider giving awards out to Youth and volunteers who help through the year(s) in Youth Ministry at a parish level. Below are some of the best reasons to give awards. If you need advice on what or how to implement awards in your youth ministry program please don’t hesitate to contact our office.

Best Reasons to Give out Youth Ministry Awards:

  • Awards Recognize people for the good work that they do!
  • Awards Can Help the Parish Pay Attention to What is Happening in Youth Ministry!
  • Awards are a Tangible Reminder of the Commitment that an Individual has Made to their Faith Community!
  • Awards help people to feel good about their abilities!
  • Awards help people to stay motivated!
  • Awards help people continue in their desire to excel!
  • Awards help you retain people that make your ministry go!

The young people we work with for the most part are concrete thinkers. Many adults, though capable of complex conceptual thinking, are nonetheless in need periodically of tangible evidence that the ministry they are about matters. Awards are one concrete, tangible way that you can reach out to young people and adults and encourage them in their growth and ministry.
