Time of Prayer

Dear Jesus,
Are you calling me to a vocation of ministry in the Church as a priest?
Strengthen me to respond to your call each day.
Help me to become all you desire of me.
Inspire me to make a difference in others’ lives.
Lead me to choose the way of life you have planned for me.
Open the hearts of all to listen to your call.
Fill all with your Holy Spirit that we may have listening hearts and the courage to respond to you.
Enkindle in my heart and the hearts of others the desire to make the world a better place by serving as priests.
Lord, here I am!
Teach me to do your will.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, You have a great and loving plan for our world and for me.
I want to do my part in your plan.
Help me to see the signs that You give me.
Open my heart to respond to You.
Grant me the courage to follow your call.
Give me the strength to serve You and your people with generosity and love.

Followed by asking for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
