Children doing an activity at Vacation Bible School.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a summer religious education program geared towards elementary school-aged children or families with elementary-aged children.

Typically, VBS is a week-long parish event that is focused on evangelizing the young and their families through a proclamation of the Gospel. VBS is a fun, interactive experience that utilizes Bible stories, skits, music, arts and crafts, games, and immersive scriptural experiences to help children open their hearts to God’s love.

Discovery Mission

The "V" in VBS also stands for "Vocations!" Discovery Mission is a summer VBS-style event that teaches children about vocations to the priesthood, religious life, as well as the vocation of marriage.

The goal of Discovery Mission is to let children know that God has a plan for their lives, educate them about Catholic vocations (marriage, priesthood, and religious life), and encourage them to say yes to Jesus! Visit the website for more information.
