Our Ministry

It is hoped that by providing the support services needed, deaf persons of our Diocese will be able to develop a rich and personal faith life as well as participate fully in their faith communities.

We work with deaf persons of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of one’s degree of hearing loss, age of onset, preferred mode of communication or educational needs.

We provide programs that are specifically designed to meet the needs of deaf persons, and offer these in both a mainstreamed and self-contained setting.

Whenever possible we strive to provide the following services and support as needed:

  • Mass for the Deaf (signed and voiced by a hearing/deaf priest)
  • Interpreted Mass
  • Religious Education Classes
  • Sacramental Preparation

  • Youth Ministry Activities
  • Small Church Communities
  • Retreats
  • Home/Hospital/Jail Visits
  • Vacation Bible School
