Statement by Bishop Michael F. Olson on Ads by Catholics for Choice

Bishop Michael F. Olson issued a statement on deceptive ads that an organization named "Catholics for Choice" placed in newspapers around the country this week. These full-page ads depict Catholics who support public funding for abortion--the direct and intentional killing of unborn children--an act that is always and everywhere a grave moral evil.

Please feel free to share the statement with parishioners and members of your local ministries.

Requesting parish/school/ministries must present a proposal detailing how the funds will be used to promote mission awareness in their school/parish/ministry by January 31 for the following fiscal year (July–June). Grants will be awarded by April 15. For guidelines and application, please contact Fr. Tom Craig, Chair-Diocesan Mission Council, or 817-945-9365.
