e-Bulletin is Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth’s electronic newsletter to communicate news and information from the Diocese, its departments and its ministries to diocesan, parish and school employees as well as select volunteers. Diocesan department directors are responsible for generating information for e-Bulletin and ensuring that the content is within diocesan rules and policies.

At the recent Catholic Media Convocation in St. Louis, June 1-3, the North Texas Catholic was recognized by the Catholic Press Association with 12 awards.
Is God calling you? The Vocation Awareness Program is a weekend opportunity for you to listen and find out more information about Priesthood and the religious life. The Vocation Awareness Program helps single Catholic men and women, ages 18-40, find answers to questions they may have about life as a Priest, Sister, or Brother. The weekend includes presentations, panel discussions, question and answer sessions, one-on-one personal conferences with diocesan and order Priests, Sisters, and Brothers who volunteer to serve as staff. There are no fees, private rooms and meals are furnished, and no one will pressure you or seek commitment. Registration is available at http://www.vapinfo.org/ For more information contact Fr. “A Passion to Serve,” the summer enrichment program of the St. John Paul II Institute, is rolling along. This Saturday’s (June 18) workshops include “Mercy in Body and Spirit” presented by Paul Crnkovich in the Catholic Charities facility (249 W. Thornhill, Fort Worth) from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and “Catechetical Strategies” presented by Silvia Lesko from noon until 3 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary’s education facility (201 W. Thornhill). Spanish workshops on Saturday, June 18, include “Cesar Chavez, Prophet of Human Dignity” by Richard Gonzalez and “Catechetical Strategies” by Fr. Carmen Mele, O.P.
From Wednesday through Friday, June 22-24, Ralph McCloud will give three talks on “The Elections, the Church, and the Poor” at Holy Family Church beginning at 7 p.m. each evening.

“Una pasión para servir”, el programa de verano ofrecido por el Instituto San Juan Pablo II, sigue este sábado, el 18 de junio, con talleres en español, “César Chavez: profeta de la dignidad humana” por Richard González a de 9 a 11:30 a.m., y “Estrategias catequéticas” por el p. Carmelo Mele, O.P., de 12:30 a 3 p.m. Los dos talleres tomarán lugar en el edificio de estudios de Inmaculado Corazón (201 W. Thornhill, Fort Worth).

Quo Vadis? is a Vocation Discernment Retreat for High School Young Men to begin considering their vocation from God by hanging out with priests and seminarians! It will be a spiritually awesome weekend. Venue will be at Lone Oak Retreat Center in Gainesville beginning on July 6, 2016 10:00AM. Parents are welcome to join for Mass and closing of the retreat on July 8, 2016 from 5:00PM- 7:00PM. Space is limited to the first 20 high school young men to register. This event is FREE and open to all high school girls (9th-12th grade for the 2016-2017 school year) who want to learn about the religious life, discerning their vocation to religious life, or simply want to be open to God’s will in their life. The girls will have the chance to interact with the following groups: Carmelite Nuns, Dominican Sisters, Sisters of Mary of Namur, Kingdom of God Sisters, & the Hermanas Catequistas Guadalupans. All women (15 and older) discerning their vocation to the Religious Life are invited to join Bishop Olson for the Marian Dinner & Mass on Monday, August 15 from 6-8:30PM at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Lewisville.
The Marian Dinner & Mass is hosted by the Vocation’s Office for women discerning their vocation to Religious Life. The evening will begin with Mass celebrated by Bishop Olson at 6PM in the Church, followed by dinner and discussion among the women discerning their vocation and Sisters from different Religious Orders.
